The SRS40206 Certificate IV in Sport (Coaching) is a nationally accredited qualification to become a Coach / Instructor, in your chosen sport (as listed below). The qualification is part of the National Training Package and is recognized throughout Australia.
The qualification facilitates the development of the following knowledge and skills at the national level:
Enrolled students will complete all mandatory 9 Core, 12 Stream Units from the functional area of coaching, 10 elective units as chosen from any competency in the Training Package, and then they opt for the Sport specific Specialization units of their choice.
Specializations offered at this level include;
Certificate IV in Sport (Coaching) is aimed at coaches who deliver advanced skills to athletes and clients, in long term high performance areas, at a national level.
Learners/coaches wishing to undertake this qualification should be established coaches and/or participants in the respective sport in which they are seeking qualification.
Students are expected to have previously completed or be completing this qualification in conjunction with Certificate III in Sport (Coaching) or equivalent.
The course is delivered by a combination of online tasks and Distance learning, and for those who prefer, face to face lectures for the core units. There is no start date, as enrolments are taken throughout the entire year.
Fees include all training resources, notes, access to online resources, assessment tasks etc.
Email support is available to all students, and a response will generally be provided within 24 hours.
As this course is delivered mostly via distance learning, it is self paced, meaning there is no minimum timeframe for course completion, as long as the student successfully completes all required tasks. Understand, however, that evidence must be provided to ensure you have met the required levels of competency for each unit.
We allow a maximum of six months for you to complete the course but many students complete the course in a shorter period.
Combined qualifications
Students are able to enroll in multiple courses.
Students are also able to combine units, in order to gain dual qualifications in other specializations for only a small number of additional units. As the core units for any Certificate IV course in the Sport and Recreation Industry training package, are the same,
