The SRS20306 Certificate II in Sport (Coaching) is a nationally accredited qualification to become a Coach / Instructor, in your chosen sport (as listed below). This qualification is part of the National Training Package and recognized throughout Australia.
This qualification facilitates the development of the following knowledge and skills at the state/territory level:
Enrolled students will complete all 5 mandatory Core units, 5 Stream Units from the functional area of coaching, 6 elective units as chosen from any competency in the National Training Package, as well as the relevant Specialization Units offered. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.
Specializations available at this level include;
Certificate II in Sport (Coaching) is aimed at coaches who deliver basic or fundamental skills of their chosen sport. Learners/Coaches wishing to undertake this qualification should be established coaches and/or participants in their respective sport, in which they are seeking a qualification.
The course is delivered by a combination of online tasks and Distance Learning. There is no start date, enrolments taken throughout the entire year.

As this course is delivered via distance learning, it is self paced, meaning there is no minimum time frame for course completion, as long as the student successfully completes all required tasks. Understand, however, that evidence must be provided to ensure you have met the required levels of competency for each unit.
We allow a maximum of six months for you to complete the course but many students complete the course in a much shorter period. Course length may also be considerably shortened by successful application for Recognition of Prior Leaning (RPL), for those who have completed prior studies in related fields and/or have relevant industry experience.

First Aid
Students are required to hold a valid Level 2 First Aid certificate.
Global Fitness Institute deliver Accredited First Aid courses, please contact us for dates and locations, additional First Aid fee of $95.00 is to be paid at time of the course.
Where a student already has a current First Aid certificate (Level 2 minimum), or chooses to obtain First Aid elsewhere, they are to present that copy for RPL purposes.
